International colloquium “Interculturality through translation, linguistics and literature”

On the 29th of March, in Aula Magnifica, the Free International University of Moldova hosted the International Colloquium entitled "Interculturality through translation, linguistics and literature" that was organized in the context of francophone days.

This scientific forum was organized by the Institute of Philological and Intercultural Researches (ICFI) in collaboration with University of Sorbonne (Paris), the Embassy of France at Chisinau, the Francophone University Agency and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain. This project was  implemented within a large series of scientific events conducted by the Free International University of Moldova in order to develop intercultural studies through analyzing the prospects of such areas as linguistics, literature, translation, education and communication sciences.

At the event participated around 130 professors from 38 universities from Europe, Africa, Latin America and Canada and from the most important academic Moldovan institutions.

Well-known personalities from many countries contributed with various and multiple communications that outlined the francophone and hispanic aspect of the inteculturality. 

Plenary speeches were held by the following professors: Francois Moureau (Paris-Sorbonne University), Alain Vuillemin (Artois University, Paris-Est University), Helena Carretero Suarez (Oviedo University, Spain) and from ULIM University: Andrei Galben - Rector, Ana Gutu -prim-vicerector, Member of Parliament, Elena Prus - Director of the Institute for Philological and Intercultural Researches, Victor Untila, vicedirector of ICFI and others.
